Leave me Breathless!

No I am not going to talk about the song by the Corrs...though it happens to be a personal favourite. I am going to talk about my breath-taking as in take my breath away (literally) experiences in the local trains of Bombay.. yes I said BOMBAY!! .

It's a humid sticky morning in the cold month of November, and I am waiting with countless other ladies at the station platform near the First Class compartment. All eyes on the horizon waiting for the train to arrive. The moment we see it approach, we take our battle front stances. The only thing missing is war-paint on our faces and we don't need no weapons coz our bare hands, and elbows and buttocks(I'll get to these soon), are more than sufficient.

We have to take our offence positions coz we know that the steel monster thats on it's way is already packed with ladies from the previous stations and thus we have very little space to deal with and very little time to shove ourselves in that very little space.

The train arrives. The frenzy begins. If you are a spectator instead of a participant, its quite a sight. Women weighing 80 kgs and more defy the physical laws of gravity and jump in to the trains to secure themsleves and their big toushees ample space, and this while using the elbows and more effectively the buttocks to ward off, push down and obstruct other mortals that stand lower in the BMI scale.

If I, being one of those lower scale mortals, by any chance happen to secure a place for myself, its not a place, its a crevice. Its like being pushed against a wall behind a door that's open in front of your face...but ya you are sort of cushioned in between the buttocks of the lady in the front and the pot belly of the lady behind.

To rant.. or Not to rave?..that ..is the question..

Hel-loo .. A very Happy Diwali to all my readers and a much Happier Diwali to all my Followers and Subscribers ;) yes I know it has been Long time, no read. Been so busy with 'the works', as you all can identify with..

So I take the occasion of Diwali to resume blogging..festivals seem to be my motivation..I started blogging around Eid time..

Though I haven't had time to post, I have been thinking what I should rant or rave about? I have more rant topics than rave, but that's no surprise. So here are a few things that crossed my mind:

What's my Rasheee? Who wants to know?? ..and remember..

Yes I watched the movie 'Whats Your Rashee?' yesterday (hope I got the number of Es right). The only reason I watched it is coz my other option was Un - 'Wanted'.

So I think it only follows that I review the movie. So here is what I think about it: Crap Movie. Don't Bother.
Moving on, I was thinking that we all must have those moments or phases or 'people' that we just want to forget coz the memories associated with them make us feel, "Oh my God! What was I even Thinking??!" or "Why? Why? Why?" or plain "Ewwww!!"

Computer says 'Restart'!

I have been facing this mysterious and debilitating problem... I don't think there is a cure.. I have looked.. and found! and Installed!!...and Failed :(

My computer has been afflicted by - The Restart Problem. My computer just restarts whenever it wants to, whenever it wants to (um..I couldn't write 'wherever' coz its a desktop computer) for e.g. when I am writing a long important email (& have not saved a draft), or when am in the middle of an online conversation with my manager or just re-worked on a document and made a million changes and am about to hit 'Save'...

I Love Restaurant City!! ..But wot the crap is the deal with Farmville?

Achieved popularity rating of 46.3 50 out of 50!!! Beat that!! thats the rating for my restaurant named '42' (get it? don't? good God.)..its this awesomely fun game on Facebook..way better than 'Farmville'! Wonder why ppl like it so much..

Actually hv wondered abt it so much that I hv come up with a coupla reasons for it:-
  1. Farmville probably brings out the innate farmer in all..'Yeh bandhan toohhhhh...pyaar ka bandhan haiiiii' types..a past life we had all forgotten, which is brought to the fore by 'Farmville' or 'Khetibaadi'.  Wow..wudn't u like a game where u can do all the 'Khetibaadi' u want, and not get suicidal, or homicidal or inspire ppl to make crappy tv shows abt it where the title has nothing to do with the depicted storyline!
  2. And it has so much visibility coz of the incessant 'Publish to your wall and frnds home page'- for every cow u buy or 'lost lonely black sheep' that you find on ur farm- which we all click yes for, to be done with the stupid pop-up at first..but then later actually feel proud of our Achievements! So we then want to share and then soon it becomes a Competition..and makes not so fun games like Farmville famous..
All you 'Farmvillers' or 'Kisaans', I challenge you to join 'Restaurant City' - the more Fun game - and try to leave ur mark by gettin  to the Gourmet Street..
P.S. - and if it helps, u also get to 'grow' your own herbs wen u reach level 16..that shud tk care of the khetibaadi pangs :P

I Love Chunky Pandey??

To clarify, no I don love Chunky Pandey... it was meant to be the attention-grabbing url.... also bcoz everything else was 'Not Available'.. my Fav was - 'computersaysno'. don know why that was not available..turned out be more than apt!

'Computer says no' is from one of the sketches in Little Britian. Those unfamiliar (can't beleive it!) , refer to http://www.littlebritain.tv/ for some more info.
